The Origins and Outcomes of the Global Economic Crisis

The Stockholm School of Economics in Riga in cooperation with the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung in Latvia invite you and members of your organisation to a Public Lecture by the distinguished social scientist Professor Immanuel Wallerstein, Yale University: The Origins and Outcomes of the Global Economic Crisis.

Being seen as one of the most influentialsocial scientists of his generation, Professor Wallerstein is known for his development of the “World Systems School”, which looks upon the world economy employing a politico-economic and comparative macro-theory of social development. At the lecture, Professor Wallerstein will, through world-system analysis, examine the current globaleconomic crisis.
